Total Feeds & VB Farms Dealer Information for New & Existing Retail Dealers
VB Farms is the Total Feeds distributor for Southern Colorado. VB Farms registers dealers with Total Feeds and provides products to the dealers. We welcome all who are interested in becoming dealers to contact us. We only ask that you have an understanding of the benefits of Total Feeds, are willing to share that with your customers, and are polite.

Business/Tax Licenses: Although livestock feed is exempt from sales tax, Colorado law requires dealers to have a sales tax license. Copies of these licenses must be supplied before your first delivery. Total Canine, Total People Plus, Canine 15 and Equine 15 are taxable. If you need help with a business or tax license, we would be happy to assist you.
Feed Quantity/Storage: Dealers are provided feed in pallets of 48 forty-pound bags, and a minimum order is one pallet. A pallet may contain a mix of feeds, but must total 48. If you need a few other bags with your pallet order, we can add those separately. Most dealers keep a few bags of Total Canine, Total Goat, etc. on hand for their customers. This is a steam extruded feed, so must be stored inside, free from any weather, especially moisture. It must also be protected from rodents.
Feed Costs: Costs vary based on current mill pricing plus freight. We are currently experiencing increases in freight costs.
Ordering: Feed is ordered via our website; the minimum order is one pallet. After your dealer registration is completed, you will be given a login/password, plus instructions for using the site.
Delivery: For dealers near Kiowa, feed is delivered to your address. We charge a mileage fee, one way only, for delivery based on current fuel and equipment costs. Dealers outside our area may pick up at VB Farms or are delivered by commercial freight at the current commercial pricing.
Unloading: It is recommended that you have a forklift or comparable machinery to unload the pallets for delivery. If you do not have this equipment, you will need to provide someone to unload the feed.
Payment: Payment in cash or check is due at time of delivery for those dealers which are delivered by VB Farms. For dealers outside our delivery area, we require a 24-hour advance payment which is usually in the form of a wire transfer. If you wish to use a credit or debit card, we will add a service fee to cover our merchant fees.
Marketing Materials: Total Feeds has banners, brochures, caps, shirts and other advertising material available for dealers which can be ordered along with your feed. Banners and brochures are provided at no charge; there is a small fee for caps and shirts.
Credit Check: Dealers must not be the subject of any suit or judgment for collection of unpaid debts and may be asked to allow a credit check.
